God and All Goodness

Grant, O God, thy protection,
and in protection, strength,
and in strength, understanding,
and in understanding, knowledge,
and in knowledge, the knowledge of justice,
and in the knowledge of justice, the love of it,
and in that love, the love of all existences,

and in the love of all existences, the love of God,
God and all goodness.

The Grace of Protection

Mary, my Mother and my Lady,
I offer You my soul, my body,
my life and my death,
and all that will follow it.
I place everything in Your hands.
O my Mother, cover my soul
with Your virginal mantle
and grant me the grace of purity
of heart, soul, and body.
Defend me with Your power
against all enemies, and especially
against those who hide their malice
behind the mask of virtue.
O lovely lily!
You are for me a mirror,
O my Mother!

Be a Blessing to Those on Your Way

May your walking be easy, on dry land or snow.
May the good Lord walk with you, wherever you go.
May your troubles brush off, like a sprinkling of dust,
And may you stand strong, for what is good, what is just.

May your soul be always grateful, may joy fill your heart.

May you reach out to others, with love, from the start.
May friendships bring blessing, for you, every day.
And may you be a blessing to those on your way.

Slow to Faith, Quick to Prayer

My coming to faith
did not start with a leap
but rather a series of staggers
from what seemed like one safe
place to another.
Like lily pads, round and green,
these places summoned and then
held me up while I grew.
Each prepared me for the next leaf
on which I would land,
and in this way I moved across

the swamp of doubt and fear.

You, God, are a mighty healer
and an ever-present help in trouble.
Help me to come to you with a trusting heart.

Please fill me with your peace.
May I find my hope and joy in you. Amen.

Thy Holy Will

My Saviour!
I cheerfully accept all the painful dispositions
in which it is Thy pleasure to place me.
My wish is in all things to conform myself to Thy holy will.
Whenever I kiss Thy cross, it is to show that I submit perfectly to

mine. Amen.

With a Pure Heart

Help us to love each person because
they are a human being and created in the image of God.
Let not our race, color, religion, or ethnicity be a dividing factor
but may we see each person as a uniquely created individual
worthy of our love.
Help us to stand against senseless violence and not support
anyone who would divide others for their own gain.
Make us true instruments of your peace.

In Jesus’ Holy name we ask. Amen.

Take Refuge in the Shelter of Your Wings

Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe;
I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
